An exciting position has arisen for a Senior Design Engineer to join an international energy consultancy as part of their Projects Team based in West Sussex. Within the role the successful Senior Design Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a variety of high profile projects from conception through to handover.

Qualifications: Applicants will ideally have a BEng / MEng in a relevant mechanical design discipline and will be a full member of an appropriate professional body, with Chartered status being advantageous.

Location: West Sussex commutable from Brighton, Crawley, Surrey, South London

Experience: It is anticipated that the successful Senior Design Engineer will have previous design and installation experience of combined heat and power systems, conventional heating and cooling and district heating systems. Proven project management experience is essential for the role.

Duties:
- Managing the design of district energy projects including preparing drawing, calculations and proposals
- Preparing tender documents
- Site management
- Advising other members of the design team
- Mentoring Junior members of the team
