An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Trust for an Environment Adviser. The key purpose of this post is to introduce and progress key environmental initiatives consistent with the Trust’s overall environmental objectives. The postholder also provides advice and information on environmental matters across the Trust and co-ordinates key activities such as the Green Tourism Business Scheme, green transport, utilities conservation and liaising with regulatory bodies such as SEPA.

To be successful in this role you will have, or will be working towards, a formal qualification in an environmental discipline or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and understanding. You will be proficient in researching environmental issues on line, be able to develop strategy and influence others and have sound practical experience of organisational resource management and minimisation, preferably within a multi-site environment. Experience of project management and line managing volunteers would also be desirable as would proficiency in public speaking and delivering in-house training to other staff members.
