RSK Environment Ltd, a member of RSK Group plc, is looking to recruit both Senior and Principal level environmental and/or social impact assessment consultants to join their rapidly expanding International team. We are particularly interested to hear from individuals with experience within the oil and gas sector, renewable energy or infrastructure. We work with major clients to meet the increasingly stringent legislative requirements of lending institutions including IFC, EBRD and ADB. We have project resources and experience spanning the UK, Europe, the FSU, the Middle East and Africa and an excellent track-record for delivering high quality ESIAs on time and within budget.

In terms of location, we would ideally like to source candidates for our Head Office in Bristol, however we are flexible and will consider other locations around the UK and from any of our international offices.

Senior International EIA Consultant

The successful candidate will need to have knowledge of:

  • International standards for permitting and EIA’s for oil and gas infrastructure projects (seismic surveys, exploration drilling and production, pipelines, production and processing facilities, both onshore and offshore. Knowledge of the renewable energy sector, in particular wind farms (onshore and offshore) and hydro electric schemes would also be an advantage
  • The equator principles and IFI requirements for major development projects (IFC, EBRD, ADB etc)
  • The mitigation and management of key environmental and/or social issues, particularly those associated with oil and gas infrastructure.

Desired experience

  • Managing complex ESIA’s with multiple contributors
  • Scoping and managing local expert studies
  • Conducting environmental and/or social due diligence audits for lenders
  • The preparation, delivery and auditing of environmental and/or social management plans for construction and operation phases of projects

Person specification

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work under own initiative in a wide range of countries
  • Strong team player
  • Proven technical ability, commercial awareness and project management skills
  • Commitment to meeting client requirements and producing high quality reports
  • Willingness to work overseas for short or medium term assignments
  • Fluency in spoken and written English in essential, but additional language skills (particularly Russian, Arabic, French) would be a considerable advantage.

Salary – negotiable depending on experience and seniority
