The University of Sunderland is committed to meeting all statutory and best practice requirements in respect of health, safety and environment.The Health, Safety and Environment Adviser will support the Head of Health Safety and Environment (HS&amp;E) by providing competent advice and guidance to Faculties, Services and others as appropriate in aspects of HS&amp;E, particularly with respect to environmental management and sustainability, to ensure legal compliance is achieved.We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with an in depth knowledge of statutory environmental requirements and a practical understanding of Health and Safety best practice in Higher Education. The role requires the ability to develop and deliver training, undertake audit and inspection, and have experience in collating and calculating carbon emissions.
